Poroshenko took part in prayer for defenders of Ukraine in St. Sophia Cathedral

As of today, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has talen part in the prayer for the defenders of Ukraine in St. Sophia’s Cathedral (Kyiv), President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, on the occasion of the national holiday, the Day of Defender of Ukraine, the prayer was delivered by representatives of different Ukrainian churches: Metropolitan of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky and Bila Tserkva of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchate Epiphanius, Bishop of the Diocese of Kyiv of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Joseph (Milian), Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate Onufriy, Archbishop of Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine Petro Malchuk, Head of Ukrainian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Markos Hovhannisyan, Mufti of Spiritual Administration of Muslims Ukraine Tamim Akhmed, President of the Ukrainian Bible Society Commandant Gregory.
Reportedly, the State leaders and clergy representatives prayed for the Ukrainian nation, fallen Ukrainian heroes and Ukrainian warriors who still defend the Homeland. Everyone asked the Lord and the Virgin Mary for peace, tranquility and prosperity of Ukraine.
