President Poroshenko supports the initiative of factions on early elections to the Verkhovna Rada

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with head of the VO «Batkivshchyna» Serhiy Sobolev, head of the Party of Regions Oleksandr Yefremov, head of the UDAR Vitaliy Kovalchuk, head of the VO «Svoboda» Oleh Tiahnybok, head of the deputy group «Economic development» Anatoliy Kinakh and authorized representative of the group «Sovereign European Ukraine» Ihor Yeremeyev, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports
In the course of the meetings with heads of factions, the Head of State discussed coordination of holding the early parliamentary elections. Petro Poroshenko emphasized that public request for a complete reload of the government remains urgent. «I support it,» the President noted.
Besides, initiatives of the President regarding the «long-awaited», according to Petro Poroshenko, draft law on amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine have been discussed.
«This draft law completely corresponds to our initiative on the decentralization of power and is a key element of our peaceful plan in the Donbas,» he emphasized.
The Head of State also stressed the necessity of clear division of powers between the President, the Parliament and the Government for more efficient functioning of the government system.
In the course of the conversation, the President emphasized the importance of implementing the peaceful plan in the east of Ukraine, the key element of which is the decentralization of power.
