Dnipropetrovsk region innovation potential exhibited in China

The Delegation of the Dnipropetrovsk region held an exhibition/presentation of the region investment opportunities at the Embassy of Ukraine in the People’s Republic of China, ForUm reports referring to the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Ukrainian Cabinet.
During the meeting with the managers of leading Chinese corporations, Dmitry Kolesnikov, Governor of Dnipropetrovsk region, presented the long-term investment projects which were offered for Chinese investors.
Among other things, the industrial park projects of Dnepropetrovsk, a logistics center at Kriviy Rig, as well as a concept of high-tech recycling plant were presented, as well as a portfolio of profitable investment projects in the «Construction» and «Agriculture» clusters.
Experts point out that the significant potential of the region is related to the agricultural sector, because the agricultural land area — which is 2.5 million hectares — exceeds that of several European countries, such as Austria, the Netherlands and others.
During a meeting with Chinese diplomats and businessmen, Kolesnikov said that a large-scale operation to increase the investment attractiveness of the region had been carried out in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In order to create appropriate conditions for investors, the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Investment Agency (DIA) was established (current value of the of investment projects portfolio of the Agency is over 1.2 billion USD). Its goal is to provide potential investors with all the information and methodological support for investment projects in the region: from the project idea to its launch. DIA also provides each investor with a personal manager to supervise the project.
