Government delegation for negotiations with Russia on construction of bridge crossing through Kerch Strait was set

As to Government Portal, the Ukrainian Government has set up a delegation of the Government of Ukraine to participate in the negotiations on the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on joint action on the construction of transport crossing (passage) through the Kerch Strait. The corresponding order of the Cabinet of Ministers was approved on November 18, 2013.
The construction of the bridge crossing through the Kerch Strait is an important transcontinental project that will significantly simplify the distribution of traffic flows and significantly reduce their path. The issue of building the bridge was repeatedly raised during the meetings of leadership of Ukraine and Russia.
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Vilkul will lead a delegation to participate in the negotiations. The Government also approved the directives for the Ukrainian side. The primary purpose of participating of delegations in the negotiations is the harmonization of the project of the Agreement between governments of two countries for joint action on the construction of transport crossing through the Kerch Strait.
The draft agreement also provides the creation of Ukrainian-Russian working group to prepare a task which the composition from the Ukrainian side also approved by the Government.
