President stands for elaboration of new approaches in state agro-industrial policy

The President emphasized importance of elaborating new approaches in state agro-industrial policy, President Viktor Yanukovych Press Office reports.
«We must focus efforts on elaboration of new approaches to the development of agricultural-industrial complex and rural areas. We must actively introduce innovative technologies in the production and conduct technical renovation of this sphere. It will significantly increase our competitiveness at the world market,» the President said yesterday at the opening of the XXV International Agro-industrial Exhibition «Agro-2013».
According to Viktor Yanukovych, agricultural production must become a foundation of social growth and welfare of the regions.
«Stimulation of agricultural cooperative movement remains the main tool to establish wealthy and powerful middle class in the villages,» the President said.
The Head of State noted that providing predictability of agricultural policy remained one of the most topical issues, particularly in the context of state financial support. "Agrarians must clearly understand and know what kind of state support they should expect in the course of the implementation of agricultural investment projects, particularly in cattle breeding.
The President also stressed that deregulation of agricultural sphere had been started and the establishment of favorable business-environment would be further continued.
