Ukraine’s 2025 farm exports fall 9% to 22.7 bln USD, EU remains top market
19.02.2026 10:04 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Ukraine’s agricultural export revenues fell 9% year-on-year in 2025 to 22.71 billion USD, the National Scientific Centre Institute of Agrarian Economics said on Wednesday, citing data from the State Customs Service of Ukraine. Exports totalled 24.84 billion USD in 2024. Shipments to the European Union dropped 17% to 10.8 billion USD, although the bloc retained its position as Ukraine’s largest market, accounting for 47.6% of total agricultural exports. Asia ranked second with exports worth 7.0 billion USD, or 30.8% of the total. Deliveries to African countries rose 8% year-on-year to 2.8 billion USD. Turkey became the largest single importer of Ukrainian agricultural goods in 2025, increasing purchases by 33% to 2.21 billion USD. It was followed by the Netherlands and Italy. In January 2026 alone, Ukraine generated 2.0 billion USD in export revenue from around 5 million tonnes of agricultural products despite a worsening security situation in Black Sea ports, the institute said. Key export commodities included grains, vegetable oils and oilseeds, processed food residues, meat products, as well as dairy products, eggs and honey.
