Ukrzaliznytsia to become grains exporter

05.06.2019 21:44 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of this week, while speaking within an agrarian forum held as a part of the 31st International Agricultural Exhibition AGRO 2019 (taking place within Kyiv as of Jun 4–7), Andriy Riazantsev, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia Development Director, has told the company is going to to start exporting grains as a legal entity, purchasing grains from the domestic producers, Interfax-Ukraine reports. «As of now, we are thinking over the possibility of Ukrzaliznytsia to engage into the grains’ purchasing and transporting to the export markets. Thus, the Ukrainian grains’ small-scale producers will be given an access to export capacities. On the other hand, it is interesting also for us - since thus we will be able to attract additional resources from the foreign markets,» Riazantsev explained. However, at the same time, Nibulon Deputy Director Volodymir Klimenko, while commenting on the Riazantsev report, has told this idea is interesting, but grains’ export goes beyond the scope of the Ukrzaliznytsia activities as a carrier.
